After Russell Wilson proposed to Ciara, his ex- wife, Ashton Wilson nee Meem, apparently threw some shade Ciara’s way when she found out about the engagement.
His ex, 27 year old Ashton Wilson changed her Twitter profile picture to an old photo of herself wearing the diamond engagement ring that Russell Wilson gave to her.
Ciara’s huge engagement ring is a 5 carat diamond stunner, while the one Russell gave Ashton in 2012 was an 8-carat rock, according to the blog Media Take Out.
Even though Ashton Wilson’s ring is bigger, Ciara’s has better quality according to higher end jelewer, David Harris, when he interviewed with Hollywood Life. He said:
“This is one incredible ring,”.“This brilliant cut solitaire is approximately 12 to 15 carats and looks to be a D through F colorless diamond, which means it’s a really good diamond. I would estimate the center stone be worth between $2 and $2.5 million based on one which I recently sold to a very wealthy client.”
Russell Wilson and Ashton divorced in 2014 after two years of marriage. Rumors claim she had an affair with the then-Sea Hawks wide receiver Golden Tate.
