Nigerian Customs Destroy Smuggled Frozen Products Worth N11.56m

The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operation Unit, Zone C, says it has destroyed 1,365 cartons of imported frozen products valued at N11.56m in Benin.

The Comptroller of Zone C, Victor Dimka disclosed this in a statement today. According to the statement, the products were destroyed on Saturday at the NSC office in Benin after they were seized on Thursday by men of the NCS in the Benin-Ekiadolor area of Edo at about 1.00 p.m.

1,205 cartons of the seized cartons contained imported frozen poultry products, valued at N9.6 million while the remaining 160 cartons contained frozen fish estimated at about N1.9 million.
