Yep, the members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan– a runway model and Instagram celebrity, respectively– have a new fashion line.
The sisters, who have previously collaborated on clothing lines with PacSun and Topshop, celebrated the launch of their “first-ever ready-to-wear collection,”according to their website, the Spring ’16 Kendall + Kylie collection. Fashion editors, models and Kanye all made appearances at the Monday night party in New York City, which was a few days ahead of Fashion Week.
So now… It’s on! The race to buy their new clothing, that is. After Kylie’s lip kit sold out immediately, it’s a pretty safe bet that the girls’ (they’re 20 and 18) new collection of cutout dresses, crop tops, jumpsuits and footwear will find buyers, no ads necessary. All the Jenners have to do is wear their clothing…
… and let their combined 100 million followers loose.
And it sounds like that’s their marketing plan. Here’s what Kylie told WWD:
“Instagram is so important, especially for my lip kit. I don’t do any advertising anywhere, except on my Instagram.”
How much do the outfits cost? Does it matter? (OK, they cost $88 – $188 for tops and dresses; between $100 and $200 for shoes.)
Of course, the ladies have an accountdedicated solely to their fashion line. It has photos of the girls dressing models and doing other fashion-designery things.
