BAUCHI—The Bauchi State Police have said that it arrested two suspects for killing a 22-year-old man over allegation of theft.
The state Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, who disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Bauchi, said that on February 5, at about 4p.m.,
police detectives attached to Township Division arrested one Nasiru Ahmed, 22, and Mohammed Abubakar , 27, all of Kofar Idi in Bauchi, for murder.
He said the suspects took the law into their hands and tortured one 22-year-old, Nasiru Jibrin of Unguwan Bauchi to death over an allegation of theft of which no exhibit was recovered.
DSP Mohammed added that investigation into the case was in progress after which suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.
He warned the public against taking laws into their hands, adding that they should not relent in providing useful information to enable the command provide security.
