WIZKID SHADES LINDA IKEJI, RETWEETS ARTICLE ABOUT HER “POVERTY MENTALITY” – YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!

Wizkid is not happy with top blogger Linda Ikeji and this is not the first time he would attempt to bash her directly or indirectly. The Ojuelegba singer just retweeted an article by Lagos Lawyer Olamide Akinola (Read Below) to his almost 2 million followers.

He stylishly added the caption “Nice Read”

Wizkid it would seem, is not happy with Linda for breaking his first and second babymama news and he also recently bashed her for posting a story about him collecting money for a show and not making an appearance. Read the Article Below...

Linda Ikeji has been in the news in the past few days after she took on fans for calling her bags fake.

A Lagos based legal practitioner, Abiodun Olajide Akinola has come for top Blogger, Linda Ikeji over recent controversy surrounding her purchase of ‘fake’ Hermes bags.

See the full post below…

When Linda Ikeji bought a huge house in the luxury Banana Island, most people were happy for her and wished for such to happen to them too. In fact, I sent her an email congratulating her and hoping I can write for her blog someday.

Yesterday, Linda Ikeji showed off two Hermes Birkin bags on her Instagram page as new acquisitions. Before anyone could say jack, internet trolls had sent the bag to Hermes for Authentication. Hermes came back and confirmed the bags are fake.

I do not believe she knew the bags were fake, so I’ll give her a pass for that. What shocked me was the way she went all out to defend herself, like her life depended on it…

– “I can afford to buy a N500million house but can’t afford a $14k bag? B**ch pls!”

– “This lovely bag cost me more than these haters cars cost and they want to come and disgrace me online? Lol. Lailai”

– “The side of the bag. Oh and I’m snapping from my banana island mansion(insert LMAO emoji) love this life

– “….can someone cc Hermes with the new images? These people can’t come and disgrace me here. Lol”

– “Too rich to buy fake…”

All of the above quotes are some of the words she used to defend her purchase of a fake bag

From someone who people admired and prayed about, she has come from 100-0 in my eyes. I see the desperation to fit in, the pride that comes from wealth but is skin deep, the class that’s lacking and a huge ego that is blinding.

A major symptom of poverty mentality is money and material fixation. Sometimes, no matter how far away from poverty one runs, some people still need an open brain surgery to expunge the poverty mentality.

If you have decided that your car, purse, wardrobe or jewelry are the most valuable things you own, then the quality of your life is based solely on these things. If someone takes them away from you, what would the state of your mind be?

Senator Marafa accuses Saraki of sponsoring controversies surrounding 2016 budget

Spokesperson for the Senate Unity Forum (SUF), Senator Kabir Marafa has accused Senate president, Bukola Saraki of plotting to blackmail President Muhammadu Buhari by sponsoring controversies around the 2016 budget.

According to The Punch, Marafa told journalists in Abuja on Sunday, February 21, that the budget controversies surrounding the 2016 budget was created by Saraki and his loyalists in the Senate to protest Saraki’s ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Marafa, who is also the chairman, Senate committee on national identity and national population said the Senate president and his loyalist have at different times claimed that the budget was missing, doctored, or padded, hence can no longer be passed as earlier planned.

He said: “Honestly speaking if am to comment on the controversy that has been trailing the 2016 budget in the Senate, I will say it is all the work of the fifth columnists there. “We woke up one day and the senate president just came and said there is no budget, that the budget is stolen embarrassing everybody, but the following day the Speaker said his own was not stolen.

“Next, they said the budget is doctored, next they said the budget is padded, next they said there are discrepancies all over the place we knew how they came into the leadership of the National Assembly or the Senate. Marafa queried why the controversies surrounding the budget came up after the Supreme Court ruled that Saraki should face trial at the CCT. He drew a strong link between all the noise about the budget and the corruption trial Saraki was facing at the CCT.

Meanwhile, Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, insisted on Sunday, February 20, that the 2016 budget was not padded as being speculated in some quarters.

The minister told reporters in Lagos that: “The total for every ministry has remained exactly the same as what was submitted to the National Assembly.”  He said that nobody can ever accuse this government of padding any budget.

The Major Reason Why Women Fake Org*sm

80 percent of women have faked an org*sm at some point in their lives, with many are doing so regularly. Women generally org*sm far less frequently than men (69 percent of the time they have sex, compared with 95 percent, according to one study), so if there’s “oohing” and “ahhing” at the end of every session, well…
you do the math.

This research attempts to prioritize women’s narratives about org*sm to fill in some of these gaps which men find incomprehensible,

In other words: this is a feedback from real women with real stories explaining the real reasons why they fake it.

They don’t want their partner to feel bad — or worse, like a failure.

In the study, research based on interviews by women volunteers showed that women often fake org*sms to “reinforce their partner’s sexual skills”—out of concern their partner might feel inadequate for not being able to provide the ultimate climax.

“Sometimes just because I want to get it over with I just make them feel better. Like, ‘Yayyyy,’ or whatever. I want them to feel like they accomplished something with me,” said Angelica, 32, during her interview.

This mentality allows women to protect their relationship by protecting their partner’s ego.

“I fake my org*sms, I do, yes,” Shantele, another participant in the study, said. “Sometimes some guys are very insecure and they feel like if I’m not coming they didn’t do their job. Sometimes faking it can serve as positive reinforcement—it’s like cheering him on and encouraging him.

Imagine him up there sweating it out and I am down there not coming. I thinks it kills men”

Another woman participant added  “I rarely fake an org*sm in my current relationship, but there were a few times at the beginning when I did, mostly because I was not relaxed enough to have a real one,” she wrote. “He was doing all the right things and the sex was great so I didn’t want to discourage him.”

They want the sex to be over with, like yesterday.

It was also proved in the research that faking an org*sm is also used as an exit strategy—what afemale respondent calls “strategically ending sexual interactions”—when women aren’t enjoying sex.

“I fake it just to get it over with,” said Florence, a 38-year-old bisexual woman said.“You don’t want it at all and it’s sad. I just want it to end, but you can’t say ‘Stop! We’re done.’ I’m not a hurtful person.”

Ebere, a 24-year-old participant, echoed the sentiment. “I faked an org*sm to get the guy off of me, just because I was done or just wasn’t into it or felling the nigga.”

Simply not being in the mood is just one of many factors that can cause a woman to lose interest. Others include lack of attraction, pain (self-lubrication is not limitless, folks), exhaustion, boredom, stress or, in some cases, just really bad sex.

As one 35-year-old woman not involved in the study explained to TILB, “The times that I have faked it was because I just felt like the guy was going very hard, and that gets odd and uninteresting after 10 minutes. Some Naijan Guys feel like the harder they go the faster you have an orgasm. Nothing could be further from the truth!”

Of course, this type of bad sex is more likely to happen during one-night stands—which is when women report the fewest orgasms—and people who have been married for more than 2 years marks another instance when women tend to fake it just to make it stop.

“I feel like that’s the go-to move during those times when hubby just wants to fuck but I am not in the mood or plain tired but as a christian wife, I cant say no to him,” a 28-year-old woman said. “all i just do even if I am tired is to let him in and then scream for a few minutes and then have a fake orgasm. if I dont do this, he will keep pounding away thinking I am enjoying the torture. so I just fake it cos once I fake it, he will concentrate on him self and release and free me”

They feel abnormal (and judged) for not being able to org*sm.

Last but not least is that some women fake it because they felt ashamed for not being able to come—as if an inability to orgasm was solely their responsibility and had nothing to do with their partner.

“I’ve struggled with this for a long time because I always hear how women have orgasms all the time during sex. I never seem to from intercourse alone so I always have to fake it just to feel like a woman and appear normal to my husband,” said Hannah, a 57-year-old participant in the study. “I don’t want him to know that I’m one of those women who can’t get aroused from a penis inside her.”

Feelings of guilt or inadequacy during sex are common. As one 28-year-old explained, “I have never faked an orgasm—I just have left some guys feeling like, ‘Ugh what is wrong with you?’”

The truth is, as this research and many others have pointed out, the road to climaxing varies among women, and it’s up to them and their partners to figure out what works.

For example, some women strictly need clitoral stimulation to climax. In fact, a recent study published in Clinical Anatomy claims the infamous G-spot—and thus, vaginal org*sms—doesn’t even exist.

Indeed, another study claimed that the mind that holds the key to a female org*sm. Specifically, the more relaxed and comfortable a woman is, and the more she can focus on her body and erotic thoughts, the more likely she is to come.

One common theme? Regardless of the reason, not coming is not uncommon.

What does it all mean?

The takeaway here is that faking org*sms happens when lines of communication are broken—specifically, when women don’t feel comfortable telling their partners why they aren’t coming.

This research helps women to have better sex lives by putting women into communication with each other about these important topics, Too often, conversations about orgasms are invisible and silent.

So ladies, the next time you don’t come, consider talking to your partner. Because sex is more fun when everyone’s getting off.

6 dead in ‘random’ Michigan shootings; suspect held – Police

Police in Kalamazoo, Mich., apprehended a gunman Sunday they believe shot and killed six people and seriously wounded two others during a series of apparently random attacks that spanned four hours.

A total of eight people were shot in three locations Saturday as the gunman drove around shooting victims, Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeffrey Getting said.

The suspect was an Uber driver who transported passengers between the shootings, WOOD-TV reported.

Jason Dalton, 45, has no prior criminal record and was taken into custody without a struggle, Getting said.

“He was cooperative. … He seemed pretty even-tempered,” Getting said. “How do you go and tell the families of these victims they weren’t targeted for any other reason than they were there to be a target?”

Police believe Dalton began the attacks at an apartment complex outside Kalamazoo at about 6 p.m. Saturday, shooting a woman four times in the parking lot. The woman was in serious condition, police said.

Jason Dalton of Kalamazoo County, Mich, was arrested early Sunday, in a string of shootings.

A father and son were then shot at 10 p.m., while sitting in their cars at a Kalamazoo car dealership 8 miles from the apartment complex. About 15 minutes later, four people were shot and killed in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel restaurant 4 miles from the car dealership, police said. A 14-year-old girl was seriously wounded there.

Police initially said the teen had been killed, putting the death toll at seven. Getting said Sunday morning that the the girl was “severely, gravely” injured, but still alive.

“Call it a miracle,” Getting added. “I’m gonna cross my fingers, say a prayer and hope like hell (she survives).”

Each victim was shot multiple times, he said.

“What it looks like is we have someone just driving around, finding people and shooting them dead in their tracks,” Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas told CNN. “This is your worst nightmare, when you have somebody just driving around randomly killing people.”

Dalton was arrested at about 12:40 a.m. Sunday in downtown Kalamazoo and and had weapons in his vehicle, Michigan State Police Lt. Dale Hinz told WZZM-TV. Authorities do not believe anyone else is involved. The investigation into Dalton’s motive is ongoing.

“The threat to the public is over,” Matyas said.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder issued condolences via Twitter, saying, “The families of Kalamazoo victims are in our thoughts today.” Snyder thanked law enforcement “for a quick arrest.”

Dalton likely will face multiple counts of first-degree murder and attempted murder when he appears before a judge Wednesday in a Kalamazoo County courtroom, Getting said.

Little is known about Dalton, who lives on a quiet rural road in Kalamazoo Township, just outside the city.

Kalamazoo, with a population of about 75,000, is about 150 miles west of Detroit. It is home to Western Michigan University. The city also is known for the anonymously funded Kalamazoo Promise program, which has paid college tuition of students who graduate from Kalamazoo Public Schools for more than a decade

Please Help I Need Your Advice : Did I Marry The Wrong Wife?

I courted her for about a year before we got married 6months ago…

Meanwhile while courting, she had told me she left her former relationship because the guy she dated then was like the breadwinner to his family catering for his siblings and she felt quite uncomfortable with it.

I didn’t read much to it because in my mind it happened to my favour and I already have a well to-do siblings, as at my courtship period though.

Shortly before we got married, my elder brother who also just had a baby lost his job and i had to support him and his family on a need basis especially with their little cute baby boy growing but i noticed my then fiancee didn’t just like it at all.

Now that I have married her….
i got a great job with this good pay and was very comfortable, meanwhile my brother search for job was to no avail and his wife was on maternity leave.

To cut long story short, each time my brother comes to me for help and i send him money, my wife complains that i lavish my money on my brother, that he should go and get a job and not rely on me always. We would quarrel seriously for days/weeks before time eventually settles things.

Just last few days ago, we were relocating to a new area within town and i called my brother to pick up a few stuffs (electronics, household items) i know i wouldn’t or i planned replacing with new ones. He came and picked them up as i had informed him. After he left, my wife let hell loose, she went completely mad and we had a big quarrel…

she even called my brother to return the few stuffs he took even when i already bought the replacements.

I am used to going back to her to apologize just to let peace reign …but this time i have had it upto my neck…I dont intend apologizing one bit as i am sure i did her no wrong.

Now i am thinking deeply…..did i really overlooked the signs? Did i really marry the wrong lady??

Please i need realistic advise on how best to manage my wife. Thank you.

Girls released from Boko Haram captivity rejected by society

Girls and women kidnapped by Nigeria’s insurgent group, Jamāat Ahl as-Sunnah lid-dawa wal-Jihād (JAS), commonly known as Boko Haram, face mistrust and persecution upon their return to society, according to new research by International Alert and UNICEF.

“These findings show a pressing need to do more to re-integrate those returning from captivity by Boko Haram,” says Alert’s peace building adviser in Nigeria, Kimairis Toogood. “Many of these girls already face lasting trauma of sexual violence and being separated from their families, so we must ensure they get all the support they need when they finally return.”

At least 2,000 women and girls have been physically abducted by Boko Haram since 2012, including more than 200 girls in 2014 from their secondary school in Chibok local government area (LGA) in Borno state in April 2014.

Many of them have experienced sexual violence or sometimes trained to fight or encouraged to become suicide bombers. Many more women have also been held hostage by Boko Haram in their own local LGAs.

However, as rescue efforts continue by the Nigerian government and military, and many of the survivors are returning home, the community perceptions of them and children born out of sexual violence by Boko Haram, and their integration and relocation, are proving difficult...

Policeman Arrests His Girlfriend After She Turns Down His Proposal in a Busy Shopping Mall

A policeman proposed to his girlfriend in a busy shopping centre but she turned him down and then he does the unthinkable.

The man enters the shopping centre to meet his girlfriend...

Shoppers were left astonished when a ‘policeman’ handcuffed a woman after she turned down his engagement proposal in a Valentine’s Day stunt.

According to Daily Mail, the dramatic act was actually a prank filmed by Pranksters Troll station at a shopping mall in Wood Green, north London, with the group of onlookers cheering and smiling at what appeared to start out as a wildly romantic gesture.

But their delight soon turned to disbelief when the actress declined the proposal and the pretend policeman handcuffed her for publicly humiliating him

In the video, which has now been viewed nearly 300,000 times on Facebook and YouTube, the fake policeman goes rushing over to his fellow actor, who is waiting beside a flower stall dressed in a red tartan dress and heels.

The actor, called Nathan Brown, picks her up and spins her round, saying: ‘Baby, I’m so happy to see you today.’

Trying to get the attention of shoppers, he shouts: ‘Look, sorry to bother everyone. I just want to make an announcement.’

He turns to his fellow actress, called Amina Maz, and says: ‘I’ve loved you for so long.’

Attempting to interject, the woman says: ‘But we’re supposed to be working things out.’

The man replies: ‘We are, we’re perfect for each other. I want to have babies with you. You’re the only one I love, I want to be with you.’

As he then goes down on one knee and presents her with an engagement ring, the crowd starts cheering – but soon fall awkwardly silent when it becomes clear the man’s feelings aren’t reciprocated.

The woman says: ‘We’ve been on five dates, I can’t marry you. It’s too much.’

Seemingly heartbroken, the man gets back up onto both feet and says: ‘So now I look like an idiot in front of everyone.”

As she appears to try to smooth things over, the man angrily replies: ‘No, don’t baby me. I thought you loved me’

A woman onlooker tells him to ‘calm down’, but the man’s tirade continues. ‘You’ve embarrassed me in front of every one. Listen yeah, I loved you,’ he says.

He then demands that the woman turns around, and clamps handcuffs over her wrists as the shoppers look on in astonishment.

‘Turn around, you’ve embarrassed me in front of everyone. That’s it. You’re going. You’re under arrest.’

Addressing the ever-growing crowd around him, he shouts: ‘If she loved me she wouldn’t have done this to me.’

But a concerned onlooker says: ‘But if you love someone, you can’t do this to her.’

He then leads her past the crowd of people while shouting at her, before the unwitting shoppers are later told they’ve been part of a prank.

It was the latest in a long line of stunts and ‘social experiments’ by Trollstation, which has garnered some 170,000,000 views of their antics in total

Olajumoke Orisaguna: The Nigerian Cinderella by Reuben Abati

About three weeks ago, 27-year old Olajumoke Orisaguna was a complete unknown on the streets of Lagos, hawking bread. A loaf of bread is about N100, and even with a full tray such as she carried in her first public embrace of fame, her whole ware for a day may not be more than N3,000, with daily profit between N300-N700. She had trained as a hair stylist, got married but had to leave her husband and a daughter back home in Ire, Osun state, to “hustle” as it were in Lagos.

The life of a bread seller in Lagos is easily imaginable: exposure to the elements, to sundry abuse, including the possibility of being raped by unruly artisans and bachelors, who will offer to buy bread and something else along with it, if the hawker is willing. This was Olajumoke Orisaguna’s reality until she ran into TY Bello and Tinie Tempah and her life changed. Today, she has been enrolled as a model. Her story has appeared in all newspapers, on CNN, Huffington Post, and virtually everywhere online.

Two companies: StanbicIBTC and PayPorte have made her their brand ambassador. The former even awarded her two daughters scholarships up to university level. Her face has appeared on the cover of magazines. She is now a student at Poise Finishing School, an intern with two beauty salons, and a motivational speaker, even if she reportedly can’t speak English. When she went to the office of the National Identity Management Commission to get an identity card, NIMC also cashed in on her new found fame to use her to promote the agency: “Olajumoke knows she needs to NIMC. She walked into a NIMC centre yesterday unsolicited. Olajumoke is smart. Be like her.” This must be the most saccharine endorsement of Olajumoke so far.

To crown it all, a construction company has given her a luxury apartment in Lagos. From hawking bread in Agege, she is now within weeks, the darling of corporate Nigeria, the poster girl for corporate social responsibility, a landlady, and a role model. She had probably never seen the inside of an aircraft, but a few days ago, she was on a flight to Abuja to give a speech!

Mrs Orisaguna is Nigeria’s Cinderella. Hers is a sudden, unplanned, unexpected, unprepared for grass to grace, rags to riches story, a kind of I–just-dey-waka-my-own-jeje-luck-come-jam-me-tale. It doesn’t happen everyday. It is the kind of accident that many Nigerians seek: accidental fame and fortune. It is perhaps the magical, miraculous, I-don’t believe-it-but-it-is-true quality of this story that has captured the public imagination.

Olajumoke was hawking her bread innocently in Sabo, when she stumbled upon a photo session by that gifted mother of twins, artist and photographer, TY Bello, working on a series of shots for the international hip hop star, Tinie Tempah. We have been told that Olajumoke Orisaguna “photobombed” herself into the activity. I guess she just happened to walk by trying to sell bread, and TY Bello who is a spirit in action when she is at work, had a brain wave and took her picture. Enormously creative, T Y Bello thinks on her feet. When she has that her big camera in her hands, she is an agile, inventive artist.

Her camera is a weapon for interpreting space and reality, and for discovering new meanings. It must have occurred to her that asking the international musician to pose with a bread seller would give the picture a much deeper meaning, inherent in the open contrasts and auto-suggestions. It is that split second decision that has turned Jumoke Orisaguna into a superstar. The shot was brilliant, the result was impressive with people asking: “Who is that girl? She will make a good model.” TY Bello took on the challenge, and became Olajumoke Orisaguna’s promoter, mentor, adviser, godmother, and supporter, taking her to new heights within three weeks. Nobody is talking about Tempah, the main subject of the photo shoot; the focus is on the wanderer who walked onto the set, the bread seller who has taken the bread of the show, the waka-pass who became the star. I understand Tempah is quite happy; don’t be surprised then if he composes a special song soon, titled “The Bread Seller!” or “Photobombed” or simply “Olajumoke.”

Olajumoke on her first runway show on Feb 20th
The Olajumoke Orisaguna story is a perfect demonstration of the witchcraft quality of photography and that single shot that has changed a life may well be one of TY Bello’s most remarkable efforts in her chosen genre. But I find around Olajumoke’s sudden transformation from person to brand, too much capitalist hypocrisy and opportunism. The brand is selling like hot cake, but the person needs protection. I feel for her. I fear for her. There is a sense in which she is a potential victim. The brand experts now taking her from place to place probably would not have even patronized her. They don’t eat the kind of bread that she sold.

Many of them don’t even know what part of Lagos is called Sabo. They don’t buy their bread from hawkers; they would rather go to supermarkets or confectionery stores. Before luck smiled on this young lady, many of those now posing for photos with her would never have noticed her presence. There are definitely many of her type, still hawking bread, or some other items, some even sitting in front of the bank, with a baby strapped to the back, but they may never be noticed or helped. The same companies that are using Olajumoke to talk about corporate social responsibility, are actually joking, they know that this is not CSR; it is brand exploitation!

And it may not last. There is nothing in Olajumoke’s background or exposure that has prepared her for the life of glitz being imposed on her. The skills she has acquired as a bread seller and hair stylist may not carry her far in the cruel world of modeling. When this blitz is over, she will need to compete for jobs and attention, if she must remain a model. She will have to learn sooner or later, to survive on her own. She will have to maintain the luxury apartment that she has been given. She has been taught fancy dressing, including the magic of make up and those magical colours that change a dull face into a phallus-teasing one do not come cheap.

She is at best an art work that other people have created: she has been made up into a siren, her hitherto dull skin now glows, in one photo, her hair had a queenly allure, they have given her new clothes, jazzing her up, to look feminine and sensual, and they have taught her how to smile in a tempting manner. Wow. That smile! The sorry part of it all is that her narrative is quite innocent and hauntingly brief, as is the case with all overnight sensations. The capitalist hypocrites will soon find something else to excite them, just as the media will find a new story. It probably would have been much better to help Olajumoke Orisaguna set up a small-scale business, to take her off the street-life of hawking, rather than this world of sharks into which she has been thrown. Perhaps the best that has been done for her is sending her on internship at beauty salons. She could at least set up a beauty salon of her own and live happily thereafter.

In a normal society, no young woman should be on the streets hawking bread in order to survive. In a normal society, Olajumoke Orisaguna would have been given the opportunity to go to school, and have a proper career. She is being given, all within three weeks, the kind of empowerment that society has denied her and many like her, but how about all the other Olajumokes who may never “photobomb” their way to luck? Her new life is a reminder of what she could have been but which she could not become because of the kind of society in which she has found herself. She should never have had to hawk bread to support her husband and children.

Her husband! Yes, Mr. Sunday Orisaguna. I have seen him in the photographs, either carrying their baby, or just putting up appearance. He looks lost, confused, overwhelmed, harassed and uncertain. He must be wondering what has happened or is happening to the woman he married. There is a clear difference between Olajumoke, the wife and bread seller, and Olajumoke, the model and celebrity. While Olajumoke is beginning to wear designer clothes, her humble husband is still managing his one-day-me-too-go-jam-luck attires. His wife has been sent to finishing school. By the time she finishes, I hope her new persona will not finish her marriage.

Olajumoke is now learning to speak English, but her husband is a humble, sliding door installer who probably speaks only Yoruba. In our kind of society, given the social level and cultural background of the parties involved, it won’t be long before the demons will begin to crawl out of the woods, from in-laws who may begin to psycho-analyse Olajumoke, to family members who will scrutinize her every gesture, and friends with whom she hawked bread and has now left behind..

Lack of clarity over role interpretation and the new persona could also confuse the young mother. She needs a different set of skills to manage new relationships, especially the new friends coming her way, including those lecherous uncles who may show up and seek to exploit her innocence. The people turning her into a s*x symbol should also tarry a while, and remember that she is a married mother of two. She needs counseling.

And her sliding door installer husband, who has featured in her fairytale so far as a hanger-on, no matter what happens, should not be made to slide away. Sunday Orisaguna should also be counseled, given new clothes, taught English and sent to finishing school. He should not be left behind.

Odi: I met Mercy for the first time in 2008 on a flight from France. We both flew Business Class and I asked for her number but she refused. She was very down-to-earth even as a celebrity. I know how a lot of them behave but she is different. Being very focused and a go-getter, I did everything I could just to have her including her number after I set my eyes on her.

Mercy: After the flight episode, he came around to Surulere where I was getting my hair done at a saloon. Somehow, he had gotten my number and we spoke. We talked and later had dinner.

 How did he propose?
Mercy: During a conversation, he suggested that we take our relationship to the next level. While we were dating, I knew we would get married because he became a part of my life and we were very passionate about each other. There was a day we attended a wedding and he said, ‘I think our wedding cake should have a tint of this colour.’

Was he comfortable with your movie roles?
Mercy: He wasn’t comfortable with the romantic scenes. I stopped taking up such roles in 2009 when I realised we were getting serious and headed for marriage. I was so in love with him that I started adjusting my lifestyle and personality to suit him. He is enlightened and well-travelled. He understands the demands of my job and has no problems with my career. He simply gives me space to fly.

What sacrifices did you make for your marriage to work?
Mercy: I learnt how to speak his language, Ishan, in less than a year. It wasn’t difficult for me because I was crazy about him. I bought CDS and Ishan literature and my husband also spoke the language to me whether I understood or not.

I also wanted to be part of the discussions as well. It didn’t take me up to five months and I already knew the basics before we wedded.

Also, I cut down on my dresses. He made me understand that with age, you have to let go of certain things because life is a phase.
Do you watch her movies?

Odi: No. That is because I don’t really have time to watch Nollywood movies. I would rather watch the news and a little bit of soccer whenever my busy schedule permits me.

How do keep the spark burning in your union with the birth of your children?
Odi: We crack a lot of jokes and play together because she is my best friend. I confide in her always and she is also supportive of me as well. We go to quiet places together and also attend family engagements. With the birth of our kids, I haven’t loved her any less; in fact I call her my daughter.

Mercy: I buy funny cards, which I slip into his pockets, and then he would jokingly remind me about the fact that I have two children. I also dress skimpily in bum shorts and parade in the room whenever he is around.

What attribute do you admire the most in your spouse?
Odi: My wife is an extension of myself and vice versa. When I met her, she was not a strong Christian but now I can say she is stronger than I am. She does all the praying for the family and I am very proud of her.

Mercy: It is hard to choose because Odi is the human definition of perfection, I can’t explain it. He completes and makes me a better person in all ramifications. I might have made a lot of errors if I hadn’t met him—I see some of my old pictures and cannot believe I dressed skimpily. You may think you are living the career but you are making errors. Our daughter, Purity, will grow up someday and see those things and I will have a lot of explanations to make.

What do you not like about your wife?

Odi: Absolutely nothing. She does everything I like and that has kept us strong.

Mercy: My husband is too truthful and that gets me upset sometimes. He doesn’t pretend at all.

Why did you name your daughter Purity?
Odi: My wife has a heart of gold—she is kind and pure. She is without blame or blemish. I decided to name her after the qualities I see in her mum.

How do you handle disagreements?
Odi: We hardly disagree but since we wedded, I don't think we have had any reason to invite a third party. We play a lot and handle issues maturely.

Mercy: He apologises in funny ways. Since I had the baby, whenever he offends me, he will play a particular CD and then teases me. He simply does things that make me laugh.

Do you run a joint account?
Mercy: He is concerned about the welfare of the family and has been like that from the outset of our relationship. While we were dating, he would give me money to make my hair and buy make-up irrespective of the fact that I also earn my own money. He does things that every husband should do for his wife. It was his idea. I am the sole signatory but my money is not in the account.

Odi: I love her dearly and I just want her to be independent and have access to funds whenever she desires without my permission.

You wedded at the peak of your career. Was it a difficult decision to make?
Mercy: A lot of people asked me this question when I was getting married but at that point in my life, there was nothing too big to let go, even now. I am willing to let go of everything to be with him and be happy. I am not in competition with anybody. I want to be married, I want to be with a man, just the way God has asked it be. I don’t want to take his role as a helper. He is an introvert and can stay at home all day when he isn’t working but I am the extrovert and we complement each other perfectly.

Odi: My wife has maintained a good reputation in the industry by the grace of God and I played a little role as her husband.

What is the most memorable moment in your marriage?
Odi: We celebrated our last wedding anniversary and her birthday at the Virginia Beach in the USA. It was a very good time together.
Prior to your wedding, an ugly incident threatened the existence of your union…

Odi: It was quite unfortunate. We thank God that we are happy and everything is well. Some people always say that our marriage will not last.

Truth is, our love is built on the solid rock of Christ and based on that, we will keep waxing stronger.

What are some of the lessons learnt from the incident?
Odi: I learnt a lot and only people who are close to me know my story. The propaganda was from people who do not know my family or me. What God has joined together, no man can put asunder.

Did it test the strength of your love for your husband?

Mercy: Yes, it did and I did not lose any friends because I never really had any. I got to understand the mindset of people who believe it is hard for you to be happy for someone when you don’t have what they have. They criticise what you have, yet they pray everyday for it. It taught me to always think of myself first because people will always have opinions.

What has marriage taught you?

Mercy: Patience and it has changed everything about me— this is a brand new me. It is possible that my husband attends a party and my movie is being shown. I have to do things that represent him well at all times. Ever since I had my daughter, I learned to appreciate other children and humanity the more. My husband and children are top on my priority list at the moment and acting is secondary. I would let go of everything for them.

Do you have similar friends?
Mercy: I don’t have friends at all and Odi is my best friend. As a policy, I never lie to my husband that is why I can’t hide anything from him. We have acquaintances but no close friends.

Can you cheat on your spouse?
Mercy: Never! Moreso, I have absolute trust in him.
Odi: God forbid that I do such.

What does Valentine and love mean to you as a couple?
Odi: Love means Mercy. We plan to have a quiet outing and take my family out to dinner. If I have any reason to love, then I must love her over and again in my lifetime.

Mercy: God is love but if I have to give love a second definition, I would say, love is Odi.

Mother In-Law Chases Away Her Son’s Wife for not Giving Birth After 5 Years

A woman has shown her disgust for her barren daughter-in-law in a most dramatic way as she stormed her son’s home and drove her away.

A 31-year-old housewife has narrated how she was chased away from her matrimonial home by her mother-in-law because she could not bear a child five years after she got married to the woman’s son in Lagos.

According to PM News, the woman, Mrs Adaeze Nwosu revealed this at the Ejigbo Customary court where she and her husband are seeking the dissolution of the marriage on several grounds.

The embittered Adaeze lamented that her mother in-law contributed to the collapse of their marriage after she invaded their home and asked her to leave since she could not bear a child.

She also said her mother-in-law insisted that she would remain in the couple’s home until her son, Godwin impregnated any woman so that she could a grand child.

Adaeze said true to her decision, her mother-in-law stayed and started wooing women for her husband and they were sleeping on their matrimonial bed but none of them was able to get pregnant for him after several months.

She said the trauma and intimidation became unbearable and she was forced to move out of her matrimonial home to have peace of mind.

The embittered woman said while all this was going on, her husband did not object to his mother’s meddlesomeness. Rather, he was fully obeying his mom’s directive by sleeping with the women.

She said when it became obvious that the marriage had irretrievably broken up, she suggested to Godwin to go to court for the dissolution of the marriage so that they can go their separate ways.

Both Godwin and Adaeze agreed before the court that the marriage was boring and characterized by crises and that they do not have feelings for each other anymore.

Godwin who resides at 20, Oluwale street, Ejigbo with his wife, Adaeze, filed the suit on the ground of lack of care, irreconcilable differences, incompatibility, lack of love and asked the court to dissolve the marriage.

Adaeze in responses, told the court that Godwin was right on the claims for seeking divorce and pleaded with the court to immediately dissolve the marriage.

The court had earlier adjourned the matter for counselling and when it was obvious that they would not be able to reconcile their differences, the court went ahead with the hearing.

The matter has been adjourned for judgment.

TOP NOLLYWOOD ACTRESSES OPENLY ACCUSE EACH OTHER OF LESBIANISM

Two Nollywood actresses, Biodun Okeowo and Wura Gold, who have made a name for themselves in the Yoruba part of the industry are washing their dirty linings in the public. Despite efforts from friends to settle the disagreement between the two ladies, the situation keeps getting worse as. A new twist in the episode has seen the two actresses openly accuse each other of being Lesbians.

Yesterday, the Personal Message on Biodun Okeowo BBM Status was quite disturbing. She cursed Wura Gold, saying that she won’t reap the fruit of her kids.

BestofNollywood TV called Biodun, to ask why she uttered such a statement, she said;

”Wura Gold was my friend before and we were very good friends. But I started to give her space when I started realizing the kind of person she truly was.

She told me she wants us to become lovers as in becoming Lesbian partners. I told her wasn’t interested… And that was it. Wura started going around calling me names. She spoils my name in front of everyone… Recently when I went for ‘TESFIR’ Ramadan Lecture. Some people saw me and started calling me friends with Wura Gold, I told them she is not my friend. At least not any more.

Liz Dasilva then decided to set in to resolve the cause of the quarrel between us. Liz then called myself and Wura on a conference and tried talking to us. When I opened up to Liz on the reason Wura is fighting me, Wura started to curse me and my children. That was what prompted my BBM update”

With such a huge homosexual accusation hanging on the head of a Nollywood actress, Wura Gold was contacted to clarify the issue, and she revealed a different story saying that Biodun is actually the Lesbian that has been wooing her.

She said;

…on the contrary it was Biodun Okeowo that asked me to become her lover and I turned her down. Why would she turn things, people are so funny. You can go ahead and ask the likes of Anita Julius and Liz DaSilva at least they have slept in my house, if there was ever anytime I made such silly advances at any of them.”

Tears, Sorrow and Blood in Rivers Community as Cultists Kill and Behead Residents

Blood is flowing in Rivers state community as cultists lay mayhem to the residents as they kill and behead their victims in bizarre manner.

Three words – anguish, fear and helplessness – best described the atmosphere in Omoku in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers state on Monday when Premium Times visited the town.

It had been about a week since armed men suspected to be cultists invaded it, killed some residents and chopped off their heads. Some streets in the town looked deserted as at 2:30 pm. when a reporter visited. Security agencies were not seen around the community.

Some residents had fled the town while those who remained locked themselves up in their homes, peeping through windows to see who was passing by.

In Ndoni Street, a distraught old man, Benedict Ajie, narrated what happened that fateful night. He said he heard gunshots on the street at about 9 pm, and by dawn he found that at a house opposite his own, two of his kinsmen, two young brothers, had been shot dead.

Mr. Ijie gave the names of the victims as Nwaudo Ijie and Ahiakwo Ijie. He said in Ndoni Street alone, eight persons were shot dead that night.

It was at about 10 am that some policemen from Ahoda arrived Omoku, claiming they were responding to distress calls, Mr. Ijie said.

On Samuel Osere Street, two persons, including a Junior Secondary School class 3 student, were said to have been beheaded. “We can’t run away from our home, we don’t have anywhere to go to,” a female resident of Samuel Osere Street told Premium Times. “We are afraid.”

At 19 Umu-Imeci Street, a handful of old men and women visited a bereaved family member on condolence. The invaders had descended on the home of Martin Uge, a retired civil servant, killing three persons, including his 31-year old son, Elechukwu.

Elechukwu was killed inside his bedroom, right on his bed. The other two victims, who were tenants in Mr. Uge’s compound, were dragged from their bedrooms, and shot dead in the street that night, residents said.

Mr. Uge, 71, said his daughter-in-law received gunshot wound. “Because of fear, I couldn’t look at them (the assailants) because recognising their faces could lead to another thing,” he said of his encounter with the assailants.

Mr. Uge said his son wasn’t involved in active politics, and that he didn’t know why they killed him. He said the government could stop the killings if they really wanted to.

In Umu-Eyike Street, two brothers, Eze Izeh and Oge Izeh, were also gunned down. Late Oge, the older of the brothers, left behind a wife and two sons.

Near Umu-Imeci Street, Eleanya Ugorji, a bishop at God’s Victorious Church, said he noticed the corpses of his younger brother, Ekwela, and the wife, Victoria, outside in the morning after several hours of gunshots around their home the previous night.

“He (Ekwela) was a politician, that’s all I know about him,” the bishop said. “The wife was a trader.”
In Umuchikere Street, Omoku, one of those beheaded, Emeka, was buried in a grave right in front of his house. There are video clips currently in circulation on Facebook and other social media sites, showing the headless bodies of the victims of the killings.

In one of the videos, three corpses are on the floor, two of them beheaded, while people, apparently the victims’ relatives, are seen crying helplessly. “They shot him 11 times,” one of the mourners was heard saying, pointing at a corpse.

A radio presenter in Port Harcourt said of the Omoku killings, “If you google the world ONELGA on the Internet today, the results you’ll get is ‘killing, killing, killing.” ONELGA is the acronym for Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area in Rivers state.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress has claimed that those killed in Omoku were its members. The party said, Tuesday, that by its own count, 26 persons were killed, and some of them beheaded.

The chairman of the APC, Davies Ikanya, said a cult group, Icelanders, invaded the town at night and picked on the party’s members in the town. Mr. Ikanya said the party publicly alerted the police, several weeks before the killing, of a plan to kill its members in the area.

“Our evidence was that following security operations carried out by the military on 11/1/2016 at the house of one Igwe Ejima Dibia alias Don Wannie at Aligu village in ONELGA, members of Icelander cult and their PDP collaborators held a meeting at about 2300hrs at Obohia in Omoku and concluded that prominent members of the APC will be eliminated irrespective of whether they live in ONELGA or Port Harcourt and other locations in the State as long as they are of ONELGA origin,” he said.

The party said less than 24 hours after the alert, its chairman in Ward 6, simply identified as Owotor, was shot dead on his street. The police are yet to make public the outcome of their investigation into the killing of Mr. Owotor till date, Mr. Ikanya said.

He also recalled the recent killing of a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Monday Eleanya, who was shot dead while driving out of his residence on Ada George Road, Port Harcourt.

The late Mr. Eleanya represented ONELGA constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly between 1999 and 2003 on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party. He recently decamped to the APC.

The APC accused the police of failing to provide security for the people of Omoku when the gruesome killings took place. It also accused the police of covering those responsible for the killings.

The party said it was ‘most bizarre’ for the police to hurriedly blame the killings on a supremacy fight between two rival cult groups.

“We are convinced beyond doubt that the Rivers State Police Command has resorted to a policy of drawing hasty conclusions for the purpose of either hiding their incompetence or protecting the interests of sponsors of the killers or both,” the party said in a statement.

But when contacted by Premium Times, Ahmad Mohammad, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state insisted that the killings arose from a deadly fight by two rival cult groups in the area.

When asked how the police came by the information that it was a battle between two cult groups that led to the killings, the police spokesperson said Omoku had an age-long history of cult violence. Mr. Mohammad however said he did not know the names of the cult groups that were involved in the ‘battle for supremacy’ in Omoku.

He also said the police saw 12 corpses, not 26, and that none was beheaded. Some bereaved family members had told this newspaper that the victims were beheaded. But when a reporter gave the police spokesperson that information, he responded, “What we have not seen, we cannot account for (it).”

The police said two suspects had so far been arrested, and that investigation into the incident was ongoing.

The Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Austin Tam-George, declined to respond to the allegation that the PDP collaborated with the cultists.

“To comment on this (allegation) would mean to dishonour the dead. No, I can’t do such,” Mr. Tam-George told Premium Times, while adding that the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Nwike had urged the people of Omoku to work with the security agencies to improve security in the area.

“Unfortunately, the police commissioner he (Governor Wike) was working with was transferred out of the state at a time the state government was about organizing a security summit in the state,” Mr. Tam-George said.

According to online tea, Rihanna’s management had to talk her off the ledge. A record label rep who divulged the info said Rihanna is “suicidal” after a series of unfortunate mishaps threaten to derail her career...

It seems the 27-year-old singer was hit with a triple whammy: her album, ANTI, flopped. Then her concert tour was postponed due to slow (or no) ticket sales. And now she is reeling from negative fan reaction to her self-designed Puma trainers.

The “Fenty by Rihanna” Puma sneakers line debuted last week at NY Fashion Week.

“She’s not used to… losing. She’s used to winning. Now she’s a loser and she’s feeling [depressed],” said the source.

The source confirmed reports that Rihanna was heated when she was asked to give up her slot for Beyonce’s “surprise performance” at the Grammys last week.

Strange Disease Hits Lagos, Kills 20 kids

A strange illness has hit Lagos, killing 20 kids with 34 others being under examination, Lagos state Health Commissioner Jide Idris has said.

Announcing the development on Friday, Dr. Idris, identified the outbreak as febrile rash illnesses (FRI), disclosing that it was recorded in Otodo Gbame community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State. He said the victims are said to be within the age range of eight and 72 months.

The outbreak was first identified by the Medical Officer of Health of the LGA on the 9th February, he said.

Dr Idris said his ministry has already notified the Federal Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the situation.

It has also constituted a team of Epidemiologists to investigate the outbreak and institute appropriate measures to prevent further spread of the disease.

But he said although the disease causing the outbreak is yet to be confirmed, “the signs and symptoms are suggestive of Febrile Rash Illnesses.”

He added: “Blood samples (and throat swabs) from the patients and water samples from the community have been taken to the Virology Reference Laboratory at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and Lagos State Drug Quality Control Laboratory (DQCL), LASUTH, Ikeja respectively. Amber Rose says lying b*tt n@ked with a man doesn’t mean she wants s*x

Amber Rose has fired back at those who think it is ok to sexually assault her because of her provocative dressing .Speaking on It’s Not You, It’s Men, hosted by Tyrese Gibson and Rev Run,she said

“When I walk down the street, people think because I’m famous, or I’m cool and I’m taking pictures, that they can just grab my ass or put their hand under my skirt or, ‘Oh Amber, can I come grab your b00bs?’ Girls do that to me all the time, and it does get like, I love you girls so much, but it does get like, stop grabbing on my b00bs constantly and my b*tt. And guys, too. This is my privacy.”

After hearing this, Rev Run offered that maybe this is the case because of …..
“a representation of what you’re wearing and stuff and seems like, in their mind, what you’re representing.”

His co-host, Tyrese, echoed similar sentiments, telling Amber,

“I’m just saying, the comfort-ability some people find in wanting to touch or grope you…it’s an energy that is sent out there that creates that type of response.”

Rose replied

“No it doesn’t, and I’m gonna tell you why. If I’m laying down with a man b*tt-n#ked and his condom is on, and I say, ‘You know what? No. I don’t wanna do this. I changed my mind.’ That means no. That means f—k no,” she says. “It doesn’t matter how far I take it or what I have on, when I say no, it means no.”

Rev Run responds,

“I’ve just heard a quote that was like, ‘Dress how you wanna be addressed…'”

“Oh, boo,” Rose retorts. “No. That’s not realistic. Stop it.”

ABIA IS MOVING FORWARD...

Sokoto Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal Holds Low-key Wedding in Kano

The hopes of friends and political associates of Sokoto Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, to enjoy a lavish wedding ceremony for his new wife, Maryam Mairo-Mustapha, were dashed Friday after the couple’s families opted for a private ceremony to usher the bridegroom into her new home.

Tambuwal took Mairo-Mustapha as a second wife penultimate Friday in Kano,

A very confused associate, who made the trip to Kano from Yola, was left bemused after he was informed that the modest ceremony would involve only ladies and close family members. “This is not how Governors wed,” the associate, a former member of the House of Representatives, said.

“Even though I know situation is a bit hard in the country, I expected a ceremony befitting his status as Governor. Even though we came from far for this, we will respect his wish and pray for a matrimonial bliss for his new family.”

Reporters in Kano had a hectic time trying to identify the venue of the wedding. When they eventually did, it was at a family home of the Mustaphas in Nasarawa area of the city.

Reports indicate that a small number of ‘women-only’ IVs were sent out few days ago for the ceremony in Kano to prepare the IT and Oil and Gas executive for the journey to her new home.

Even in Sokoto where Tambuwal is the Governor, many were not aware of the Kano wedding. A senior female civil servant, who declined to be named, said after waiting for official notification of the wedding, they gave up and decided their presence may not be needed after all.

“We actually organised ourselves waiting to be part of the wedding activities. Some of us even prepared what to wear but yesterday (Thursday), we were told it would be a private wedding and that only family members would attend.

“What is the point of attending an event you are not invited. We didn’t begrudge the Governor. It is good he has shown to us that he is a man of modesty and we wish him success in his marriage,” the Director in one of the ministries, said.

President Buhari should be very worried – Etcetera

The expatriates in Nigeria are having the best of times. There is never going to be a better time to be paid in foreign currencies in Nigeria. And while President Buhari is busy trying to out-tour Rihanna, discussions on the fall in the naira have brought up macro-economic matters such as slowing down of economic growth, corporate earnings and market volatility. For the common man on the street, the falling rate of the naira is hurting the most.

From essentials such as food and education to foreign vacation and the hi-tech gadget you plan to buy, the falling naira will hurt you in more ways than one.

Not too long ago, President Buhari and his economic advisers called for ‘a weaker currency.’ Now that we have one; their silence is deafening.

Had it been that Nigeria exported anything, a weaker currency would make it easier for exporters to compete internationally.

You don’t need to be as high up as the president to know that the disadvantages of a weaker currency are much more harmful than the possible benefits. The most obvious disadvantage is that we are all poorer because of the naira’s weakness. Everything that is denominated in naira is worthless today than before the collapse of the currency. This includes wages, shares, houses, pensions, foodstuff, everything.

Some prices adjusted automatically and quickly to the fall in the naira, but in most instances, it will take a long time for all prices to ‘catch up’ to previous levels. Wages and salaries are good examples of prices that will take time to reach previous levels.

Since certain prices adjust faster to the new level of the naira, all sorts of distortions will take place in the economy. Many asset prices, especially liquid assets like listed shares, usually adjust quickly to the weaker currency. But prices that are determined mostly by local conditions, like salary, local produce and services, usually take time to adjust.

The result of this skewed adjustment in prices is that we have to part with more of our money to those that use strong currencies like the US dollar, Euro and Pounds Sterling, which leaves Nigerians worse off, relative to the rest of the world.

Those that have assets, especially liquid assets, are better off. The inevitable result is that those with assets, the wealthy, are protected to an extent against a falling naira while those without assets, the poor, do not have the luxury of such ‘protection.’

Even amongst the poor, distortions will take place. Those with scarce skills will quickly demand higher wages and the more scarce their skills, the more successful they will be. Those without scarce skills, and, especially those without jobs, are particularly hard hit.

Their wage increases will be last in the chain of price increases. In the case of the unemployed, they have no way of increasing any of their own prices simply because they have no income, yet their cost of living has gone up like that of everybody else.

And to add to our miseries, changing prices make it difficult to plan or do business. And again, it will be the poor and the unemployed who will be the hardest hit.

Expect inflation, social tension, weak economic growth, high unemployment and poverty after the collapse of the naira. Personally, I think even if the currency will soon regain some lost ground, much damage has been done already and the consequences will be painful.

Court Gives EFCC Power To Seize Tompolo’s Properties

At the resuming hearing today, prosecuting counsel, Festus Keyamo informed the court of the warrant of arrest issued in respect of Tompolo.  He said despite the warrant of arrest and efforts of security agencies, the suspect has not been found.

Keyamo then brought an ex-parte motion to authorise the EFCC to attach and seize property belonging to Government Ekpemupolo pending his arrest or appearance before the court.

The properties are:  No. 1 Chief Agbamu Close, DDPA Extension, Effurun, Delta State; Mieka Dive Limited and Mieka Dive Training Institute Limited situated at No. 77, Lioth Street, ODPA Ugborikoko, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State;  Muhaabix Global Services Limited; a River Crew Change Boat named MUHA -15; the property known as “Tompolo Dockyard”, by the end of Enerhen Road, Effurun; the property known as “Tompolo Yard”, at the end of Chevron Clinic Road, next to Next Oil, Edjeba, Warri; the Diving School at Kurutie, at Escravos River; the property know as “Tompolo House” at Oporaza Town , opposite the Palace and any other moveable and immoveable property discovered by the EFCC, belonging to the 1st accused person.

Keyamo asked the court to separate the charge so that the matter can proceed as the 1st accused person has remained elusive.

Tompolo was billed to be arraigned by the EFCC alongside a former director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Mr. Patrick Akpobolokemi and eight others, on a 40-count charge for alleged conspiracy and diversion of over N34,000,000,000 (Thirty Four Billion Naira only), belonging to NIMASA. While Akpobolokemi and others appeared in court, Tompolo failed to do so, forcing the court to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Justice Buba granted the request of the prosecution to separate the charge and fixed a date for the arraignment of the  nine other suspects.

Davido believes his Sony Music Deal will go very well unlike the GOOD Music deal Don Jazzy and D’Banj signed with Kanye West. Davido first of all said he doesn’t want to be Don Jazzy, who was in the same room with 10 other producers including Kanye West.  “I don’t want that to be me,” he told The Fader.

“I wanna be that one African nigga, where it’s like, ‘Call that African nigga. Let’s get him on the hook.’”

He also firmly believes his American background gives him an edge unlikeDon Jazzy and D’Banj. “I can be in the club with Meek Mill and Future and be on a level with them,” he says. “I understand what they’re talking about. I know what the trap is. These are things that some of these other guys, they don’t have it. They can’t have these conversations with the rappers, so how can they have them with the (American) fans?”

When asked if whether he thinks the world is ready for a Nigerian superstar, he said “Of course they’re ready,”. “They just might not know what that’s going to look like.”

David also said he knows the kind of song that will be accepted in the US. “I know what kind of songs work. The music should have everything in it—Jamaican, African, American, everything. Something like Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba,’ it has a cool feel to it.” he said.

Woman gives birth to her 14th child from 14 different fathers

A 36-year old woman from Michigan has made a crashing entrance into the Guinness Book of World Records Wednesday at the Harper University Hospital, by giving birth to her 14th child, all born from different fathers.

According to the internationally recognized authority on the cataloguing and verification of world records, Anita Sullivan has just become the first woman in recorded history to conceive children with more than thirteen different men.

She said:

“I’m extremely proud to have broken a World Record,” Ms. Sullivan told reporters. “My mother always told me that I was lazy and worthless, and that I would never accomplish anything in my life. Now, I’ve shown everyone that she was wrong, and that I can even be the best in the world when I put my mind to something. In fact, I’ve just accomplished something that no one had done before!”

Anita Sullivan says she’s been unlucky with relationships in the past, but she believes that this time she may have found the man of her life.

“I’m good at having babies, but I’m really awful when it comes to picking the fathers of my children,” says the young woman. “This time, however, I think I’ve learned from my past mistakes. Ramón isn’t like all the jerks I’ve dated before. We’ve been together for almost a year and a half, and I really believe it could work between us.”

After their meeting with Ms. Sullivan, the representatives of Guinness opened a second investigation concerning the record for the number of child support pensions received by one person.

The Detroit native is already the beneficiary of pensions paid by 11 different men, and is implicated in two other custody cases, which should proceed before the family court over the next two months.

The investigation should be over by the month of March 2016, and Guinness will then be able to tell if Ms. Sullivan holds a second World Record or not.
